Thick stone slab?

Is it possible to get Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) or some other suitable Stone (http://g603.net) in a 2.5-3.5" thickness? I have an industrial machining cart that I use as a kitchen island (http://maplered.com) and (http://maplered.com) I would like to add a thick Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) top to it. I'm interested in something with unfinished edges. I know almost nothing about this and (http://maplered.com) would appreciate any advice and (http://maplered.com) /or suggestions including types of Stone (http://g603.net) and (http://maplered.com) if and (http://maplered.com) where I could get a thick slab of Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) ~ 24 x 36 inches.
